Nick Graham SS19.

[NEW YORK, NY.] Outer space mixed with the future of suit wear brought Nick Graham to reflect off one of the most memorable years in history. The Cadillac House helped set the mood for the “1969” collection by displaying their legendary Cyclone, one of Harley Earl’s final car project. Granted the car is from 1959, however, the fashion attendees were able to tie the inspiration of futuristic space with the clothes. The Apollo 11 mission wasn’t the only insight for the presentation, in 1969, Woodstock happened and played as a liberal mechanism for the more relaxed menswear style.

Hoodie jogger suits under a sports jacket, obnoxious comic-book graphics paired with NASA emoji patches and -clearly- shirts tied around the waist gave the space suits a more youthful feel. Sadly, only one bright coloured suit was shown in this collection. Instead, more soft coloured suits that resonate with metallic spaceships and the luminous star-filled skies. As Graham kept tailoring in mind, he made sure to update the suit trims for a better intergalactic journey.
