[NEW YORK CITY.] Once again, I make my way to a favourite designer of mine because of his use of vibrant colours that Latin America is accustomed to wearing and seeing in their inspiration-filled-daily-life. As a natural creative, Ricardo Seco makes every detail count in showcasing his collections. From the obsessive prints and fabrics to the breathe taking backdrop of the city. Even the time of day with lighting is a crucial viewpoint for Seco’s presentation and flow; to paint an insightful image for his clients and viewers.
The flamingo pink and fuchsia hues were the main choice of colours. What also caught my attention was the self-motivating phrases on some pieces. It was also nice to see Seco keep to his Mexican culture and added a few patterns and fabrics from his birth country. Since we’re in the Age of Aquarius the absolute looks were athletic-wear chic. This world is still in an exercise fast-pace healthy kick and it still reflects and shows in our day-to-day clothing.
