Abasi Rosborough FW18.

[NEW YORK, NY.] What just really cheeses me about fashion week is that so much goes on that I have tunnel-vision most of the time that I overlook things. For example, tonight at the show Kelela was the musical talent and I didn’t even notice. Perhaps it’s because I was so intrigued by Abasi Rosborough’s debut collection at fashion week and I only wanted to focus on the designs from their 11th season. The showcase took place at the Cadillac House in partnership with the CFDA.

With face recognition becoming the hype in technology along with crypto-currency, genetic modifications and autonomous cars, both Greg Rosborough and Abdul Abasi sought out an answer to one question. The advances of our time are profound; are we progressing towards Utopia or dystopia? Regardless of how you may perceive things in our current status, the duo provided a method of survival through style! Majority of the looks were quite intricate and resembled the wardrobe found on the television series Into The Badlands. The collection maintains a focus on streamlined tailoring, east and west influences, with elements of military, sport, and futurism.
