[NEW YORK CITY.] To describe the show perfectly “Spring 2014 explores an Artful and Architectural Approach to clothes with a decidedly Athletic reference.” Notes that were taken from Vera Wang’s pamphlet/folder given to present attendees. I’m now lost for words because that pretty much sums up the collection Vera showcased today. Using soft fabrics like rette gazaar, mesh and chiffons throughout the different looks with a bold sportiness makes up a great combination. The extremes of both hard-soft visual and tactile textures bring about a well-orchestrated collection. The choice in bold colours were my favourite and what I remembered the most from the show. Photos that I took at the show weren’t in the best quality because of my mobile camera but please do enjoy the photos I quickly took backstage before running off to another appointment.
