[SALT LAKE CITY.] Each Halloween season the Lloyd Family hosts a themed party for their close friends and family. The first time I was invited was three years ago and I’m so grateful to be considered and take part in the festivities because it’s the most swanky Halloween party in Salt Lake.  The entire event from receiving crafty invites to the lifetime memories thereafter are impressive and credited to the mastermind behind it all from attention2detailevents.com‘s Event Planner – Ashley Lloyd. This years theme was set with the official hashtag #ArabianAffairs and the invites were sent out in a genies lamp yet with no genie included. However, I had more than three wishes fulfilled that night which not even Aladdin could dream of.

Now that the theme was announced it was time to begin planning my outfit and I immediately started digging for places to buy authentic indian wear. Since I mainly live in Utah and there isn’t really many places to choose from I had my outfit selected through an online store from India at indianweddingsaree.com and my shoes were also imported from india through an online store at amazon.com and highly recommend both sites with two day shipping even though it says 18 days would be the time frame. My main vision was to wear an all white attire fit for a wedding because I figured I’d stand out better in nothing but pure white. The slippers had to be Aladdin-esque with pointy toes and elegant fabric. Not only are they beautiful slip-ons they’re also very comfortable too.

Once I arrived with my three friends to the event we were greeted by Rajah aka Kimberly Pavao from eleventhandsixteenth.com/ who is also Ashley Lloyd’s sister. Both Ashley and KP set the bar for the night in costumes and we continued to be greeted by reptiles, a tarantula and a scorpion that I held and took photos with. There were also booths that were traditional dinning tables with pillows to sit down on the floor. The food was also traditional items that was beyond delicious and an open bar that had special theme-made drinks with a virgin menu as well. The party was filled with amazing costumes, a live DJ that actually played good music and henna tattoos by professionals. Attendees were also given the opportunity to donate to the H.A.R.T non-profit organization in order to care for rescued animals. When you have any event that needs meticulous and creative planning the only trust I have is in Ashley Lloyd: attention2detailevents.com/
