[NEW YORK CITY.] To sit front row -behind the floor seats of course- at a very High-Profiled show was just absolutely posh! Ralph Rucci is also known for his Chado Ralph Rucci collection and has been achieving success going on thirty-three years now in 2,014. Highlighted in Rucci’s program that was given to me at the show it says “Rucci believes he was born to create his chosen métier and continually strives to inspire the individual who independently seeks refinement, beauty and tranquility in the world of fashion.” To me that is a very keen message because of the words inspire, independently, refinement and tranquility. Creativity brings more creativity in the inspired Spring 2014 collection and that’s exactly why Rucci had seventy-eight looks prepared to show sunday evening. After a few edits he sent sixty-four looks down the runway. Individuality is what the girl wearing his clothes will accomplish independently and it’s the only thing she expects from Rucci’s immaculate garments.
The looks that stood out to me was Look #5 with the leather jacket that I would even wear myself. The detailing on that jacket makes it stand out the most. Plus the texture stands out when the light reflects off the jacket and draws your eyes to the person wearing the coat. The trench coat from look #21 was also a favourite of mine. It’s so simple and the colour goes well with anything in your closet. Look #37 caught my eyes as well with it’s simplicity and how very well structured it lays on the models body. With what was sent down the runway makes me wonder what breath-taking designs did Rucci keep from the media?!
